Millipedes

Some millipede species give off an ill-smelling fluid through openings along the sides of the body. Underscoring the importance of millipede control, this fluid can be toxic to small animals and pets, and can cause small blisters on humans.

The most common times that millipedes are found are during the warmer months when yard cleanup is done. Yard debris and piles of sticks and leaves being moved away from tree lines and landscape perimeters often  expose the breeding and harborage sites where millipedes exist. Downspouts, gutters and areas prone to water give these insects the resources they need to thrive. Year-round treatments is the best defense to keeping milepeds away.
